December 2013

Everyone enjoyed our TAGY Christmas Party, and we each opened a hand-made gift.  What a talented group we have!

This program wants to allow lots of space between photos, so you will have to scroll down to see them all.

A few of the items exchanged:
Hand made post cards;
Hand dyed scarf and tie;
Tote bag;
Beaded Christmas tree;
Prayer flags;
Linen bread napkins;
Thread painted landscape;
Flowers pressed in glass;
Glass hand-painted ornament;
Perpetual calendar;
Door-knob tree; etc.

Here are some photos of the gifts.
I didn't write them all down, so hope I didn't miss many.  Each has wonderful workmanship.  Thank you all for your thoughtful gifts.

For our 2014 Tactile Challenge, we each chose two random techniques to use on our 18" x 24" vertical piece.  We will discuss this challenge and the techniques more at the January meeting.
This challenge will be due at the September meeting, and will hang at Yellowstone Quilt Fest.  If you were not present, we chose two for you.  See the Tactile Challenge page, in the "Links" column on the right, for more information.

Also remember that the 2013 "Old Town" Challenge will be due at our Feb 2014 meeting.  It will also hang at Yellowstone Quilt Fest.

For 2014 we decided to have a Monthly Small Learning Challenge that will be 12" x 12".  These will be listed on the right column, under Dates to Remember, along with the Programs.

The Christmas 2014 exchange has the theme of "Peace".  This can be any hand-made item, of any size.
