Present at the August TAGY meeting were Lindsay, Jan W, Jan H, Barbara P,  Ben, Ginger, Pam, and Kenli, also two guests; Carol Shephard from Cody, and Mary Shirley Jones from Red Lodge.

Some of the Marketplace Challenge Quilts were shown. They are not shown here so you must come to the Yellowstone Quilt Fest (YQF) to see them!  More challenge quilts are in progress. Lindsay is getting the Marketplace photo enlarged to hang with the inspired quilts at YQF. Thank you Lindsay.

You may also show other TAGY Art Quilts that have not been shown before at this quilt show. Challenge quilts, "Marketplace" and monthly 12" x 12" quilts, are free entry and are not voted on for People's Choice.

Other Art Quilts, that will be voted on, require an entry fee, and will be given a voting number.  Registration and Entry forms are available here: http://www.yellowstonequiltfest.info/YQF/index.html and are due by August 28th.  Please support our quilt show by showing your quilts.

Ginger brought two items for Show and Tell:
One is her color wheel quilt (above), and the second is her first quilt, which she hand quilted (below).

Guest Marie Shirley Jones Showed her beautiful hand dyed quilts.

Members were asked to bring their Favorite Tools and they include:

Spaghetti for making dots;
Clips for binding;

Favorite tools

Use purple thread in the bobbin and black thread for the top to make it easier to take out mistakes;
"Thimble It" discs instead of a standard thimble.

Note:
