Sixteen talented, hungry and amazingly creative women met in the Grizzly Room at the Cody branch of the Park County Library.  This meeting celebrated Christmas 2022 and the New Year 2023 with a potluck lunch and gift exchange. Present were Jeanne, Jan W., Sue, Pam, Marie, Linda, Chris, Kris, Mary, Carol, Lili, Judy, Alice, Jan H., Barb M., and Bea.

After eating an amazing smorgasbord of lunch items, the gift exchange began.  Photos below.

Next Meeting:  Monday, February 6, 2023

February Program will be provided by Jeanne.  She will teach us to make book covers.  She will send out a list of what we need to bring.

Challenge due at February Meeting"Red or Hearts".  Make something with that theme.  After all, Valentine's Day is coming!

Annual Challenge:  Due July 2023.  Pair/Pear/Pare. See December 2022 BLOG for details.

3 Dying Techniques:  Marie Shirley-Jones will be teaching this class at the Cody Country Art League on February 25th, 10-3pm.  $75 for CCAL non-members, $67.50 for CCAL members. Contact CCAL to sign up.

Show and Tell:

Jeanne shows her covered book/journal that she will teach at the February meeting.  Pretty cool!

Barb M. shows off her fabulous quilt made for the grandkids.  She made up this design herself! I want one!

Next time she will have it quilted.

Kris (who is way prettier than this photo depicts) shows a potluck pot carrier.  She made up the design herself!  The handles are from Madrona tree branches.  Very cool.

Jan H. shows a crocheted scarf made for the Wyoming Special Olympics Winter Games in February 2023

Marie shows us some amazing quilt hangings that she made using rust dying.  She stitched the fabric before she rust-dyed, thus saving her sewing machine and needles from torture!

                                                   











Pam shows us the quilted hearts that she has made.  They will find their way to Alaska via her daughter. Refer to the "I Found a Quilted Heart" project online.

Sue received a darling spool/scroll hanging from Alice. It was inspired by a Quilting Arts Magazine project.  Song: "All You Need is Love"




Barb M. received a cute snowman quilt from Carol.


Jan W. received an innovative Christmas Card holder from Sue.  It begins with a picture frame! Clever!

                        Chris received a beautiful table runner from Marie.

                Marie received a "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" runner from Jan W.                              The word Diamond is dotted with a diamond-like stone.



  Carol received very cute holders from Pam, wrapped in hand-dyed fabric.
