Jeanne opened the meeting with information about our Heart Mountain Interpretive Center exhibit. She passed out forms to be completed for donation of the quilts to the Heart Mountain Foundation as part of their collection. This week Kathy L will take photos of the quilts and portraits of each quilter, to be published in a book about the exhibit. The Artists' Reception is Thursday evening, April 7th.Marybeth talked about the Tea & Tables event on May 7th that will benefit the Homesteader Museum in Powell. Tickets are now available.
Alice, Karling, Pam, Ginger and Linda brought Show & Tell items.We talked about Quilt Wyoming which will be held in Powell this year by the northwest chapter of the Wyoming State Quilt Guild. There will be three National teachers, plus local teachers giving classes and trunk shows.
Lili gave the program about making mosaic backgrounds with small fabric scraps, and provided scraps for us to play. Figure 1 is Lili's finished piece using this process. Below is a sample of the background pieces being made at the meeting.
