June 2016

Twelve members were present for the June meeting, with a program by Bobbie Holder on making paper.
Jeanne discussed the upcoming quilt show hosted by the Laramie Art Quilters which will be held in the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site (WTP) in Laramie.  Four of our TAGY members will have 11 quilts in this upcoming show from July 1st thru September 30th.

Everyone enjoyed Show & Tell with quilts, stories, and books recommended.  Alice showed the gorgeous handmade quilt made by her 95 year old mother (see photo).  Alice is adding the finishing touches.

Lindsay brought a copy of the "Inspired by National Parks" quilt book which is sold at Friends & Company and is a #1 Best Seller on Amazon.com.  Linda has a quilt in this book representing Yosemite's wildlife.

Our Heart Mountain quilt display will be moved to the theater section at the end of this month.
Suggestions were made for the next TAGY challenge.

The next monthly challenge is Food, made on a placemat size like the "What's for Dinner" exhibit at Houston last year.
