September 2016

Carol Kimble, SAQA rep
Due to the Labor Day holiday, TAGY members met the second Monday of September.
We were delighted to be joined by the MT/ID regional Studio Art Quilt Association rep Carol Kimble who drove down from Bozeman MT.  Carol talked about how SAQA helps to promote textile art, and showed us some of her work. She feels we should have a regional show.

Fifteen members and guests were present. Guests include Julia Dowling and Laura Bierma, who we hope will join our group in the future.

We had a book signing of many Fabric of Memory books about the Heart Mountain Internment Camp.

Show and Tell: leaves and techniques
Show and Tell included past work as well as new work done by members and guests.  It was a great reminder of the fun projects of this group.

The program this month was "pounding flowers" with supplies provided by Marybeth and Linda.
