October 2017

Kathy H
Fifteen TAGY members were present for the October meeting.  Kathy H showed the red/purple quilt she is making for a relation, and Marybeth showed her piece with rusting and flower pounding. Both are works-in-progress.

Members discussed themes for next year's challenge quilt.  It was decided that each will bring a "busy" photo to the next meeting, and we will choose a photo with a lot of different elements that we can each interpret in our own way.  We may want to have one unifying color or fabric to bring our art pieces together.

Jeanne K gave the program on how to critique with two of her own quilts as the subject.  She handed out pages with the Elements and Principles of Art and asked us to provide a Description, Analysis, Interpretation, and Judgment.

Dates for next year's meetings were set, and can be found on the right of this blog.  Volunteers are needed for each month's program.  Be thinking of ideas and/or techniques you can share with the group.
