Oct 2019

Nineteen members were present at the October meeting.
Ginger announced we could hang the "Doors" Challenge quilts at the Bank of the West in Cody, which is under new ownership.  She has also contacted the Cody Library and the 1st Bank in Powell about showing them there at a later date.
Thank  you Ginger for taking on this responsibility.

Jeanne K and Karling listed suggested topics for next year's Challenge (up to 100 inch perimeter) and for monthly challenges (12" x 12").  It was decided to start up the monthly challenges again this year.

The 2020 Challenge theme is "My Own Inspiration" due at the August meeting so it will be ready to show at the Yellowstone Quilt Fest in September.

The Monthly 12" x 12" challenges are displayed to the right on this blog.

Show & Tell:  Lots of beautiful and inspirational items were shared by members.

Marie Shirley-Jones provided today's program and showed us how to make stamps and stamping your designs on fabric.  She provided the medium and paints plus all the necessary supplies for this project.  Thank you Marie!

Refer to Marie's pics above of the cats and birds for examples of stamping with dyes.
