Monthly Programs are programs presented at the meeting by a TAGY member.

May Monthly Challenge Hostess is Barb Morales.  The theme is Thinking Outside of Your Color Box!  This challenge is due at the June meeting.  Barb read to us from the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywalt.  Barb's challenge to us is to take the color you hate the most to work with and make something!  There was a handout.  If you need it let me know and I will email it to you: Hoarwest@gmail.com

April Monthly Challenge Hostess is Lili Turnell.  This challenge is due at the May meeting.  The theme is to make acrylic skins using dimensional paint, sheet protectors and acrylic medium.  This method was in the Quilting Arts Magazine Spring 2022.  There was a handout for this.  If you need it let me know and I will email it to you.  Hoarwest@gmail.com

May Monthly Program will be given by Barb Morales at the May Meeting.  There was a handout on what to bring.  If you need the handout let me know and I will email it to you. Hoarwest@gmail.com

The March Monthly Program was presented by Alice Flyr.  She presented a product which is new to us but has been on the market for years.  Called Evolon.  This fabric is extremely versatile!  This impressive microfiber is a real gift to the arts and craft world as it can be painted, cut, sewn, glued, sprayed, and also with its compact fiber composition, it absorbs moisture, remains breathable and dries very quickly.  Being strong, light-weight and anti-wrinkle, Evolon is also a printing media, with a unique matte artistic look and textile drape.  Evolon stands in line with regulations for interior fire retardant materials; it has very high UV protection. The makeup of this new innovative fabric can also absorb sound. It seems that the usage of this product is endless. See:  guidelines_for_working_with_evolon.pdf (visionquilt.org)  From what I heard, this product does everything but fold the laundry!

Alice also presented decorating Easter eggs with bleeding tissue paper or onion skins.  Who knew!?

Meeting adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
