 TAGY Meeting June 6, 2022

The meeting was held in the Grizzly Room at the Cody Library.  Twenty talented and pleasant members attended:  Jeanne, Jan W., Pam Lili, Ellen, Judy, Ben, Jeanette, Barb M., Carra, Marie, Carol, Jan H., Barb P., Colleen, Linda, Chris, Alice, Karling, Kris.

Announcements:  

1.  Your Zoom-In annual quilt challenge is due at the July 11th meeting.  These quilts will be shown at the Yellowstone Quilt Fest at the end of July.

2.  Artist statements for your Zoom-In quilt should be sent to Jan Wilbur by the week of the 4th of July.  E-mail to:  Jancwn@tritel.net

3.  The annual Christmas party (which is really a New Year's Party) will be held in January 2023.  The theme is "Song."  Pick a song and make a gift to exchange.  Gifts must be hand-made by you.  If you bring a gift to exchange, you will get a gift from the exchange.

4.  Items are needed for the Yellowstone Quilt Fest Boutique.  Do you have something that you can donate?  A previously made small art quilt?  A quilted pillow, etc.?  If so, contact Barb Pike (barbara.pike@connectSeward.org)

5.  Marie Shirley-Jones will be holding an Indigo Dying class at her house on June 29, 2022.   Free indigo dyeing gathering:  June 29th, Wednesday, from 10:00 to maybe 2:00? Bring 4 to 8 pieces of natural fabrics, pre-washed, and already tied or folded. Go online and see how to do so with tie-dyeing and shibori. Fabric pieces shouldn't be more than about 20x20 inches. Bring heavy rubber gloves and wear old clothes. Bring a lunch. Please RSVP with a call or text so I know how much dye to prepare.

7.  The Program for today was from the book "Radiant Landscapes."  See photos below.

Show and tell produced a lot of interesting art works.  Shown as well was the Monday Monthly Challenge from Barb M.--use a color you really don't like to work with.  See photos below.
