September 8, 2025

 A small but enthusiastic group of artists attended the TAGY meeting on September 8, 2025, in Room 2070 of the Park County Compex Building:  Judy, Ben, Jan W., Jeanne, Laura G., Barb P., Barb M. and Jan H.

Announcements:  

    1. The Quilt Show at Plaza Diane begins September 18, 2025.  Several of our TAGY-ites have quilts in it:  Jeanne, Jan W., Pam, Jeanette, Barb M., Cyndy, Marybeth. Sorry if I missed anyone!

    2. Sue Beardslee has cotton/poly sheets that were donated.  Who needs them?  Barb Pike will take them for her church (used for backing for quilts).

Annual Challenge for 2026:  Several ideas were presented:  Haiku, State or State of Mind.  This will be discussed again at the next meeting.  Keep thinking!

Annual Challenge for 2025:  Due at October meeting!!

Christmas Gift Exchange Theme:  This will be discussed later.  "Leftovers" was mentioned.

Monthly Challenge due at October Meeting:  Star (shape)/Dots (element)/Pink & Gray (color).  Be creative!!

Jan H.'s progress on 2025 Challenge of Map Quilt

Program:  Barb Pike, who worked for 10 years at the International Quilt Study Center and Museum, gave a program on dating your quilt.  There were 2 handouts. Each "team" had a quilt to identify characteristics.  It was a terrific program, and we all learned a lot!  Barb is a wealth of information!
