Intro quilt for Old Trail Town Challenge

The September TAGY meeting was held the week of the Yellowstone Quilt Fest (YQF), so everyone brought the monthly challenges, plus we had the Old Town Challenge Quilts, and the Tactile/Texture Challenge Quilts.  Linda MacDonald collected the all challenge quilts to bring to YQF for hanging.

All this year's challenge quilts will also be hung at the Plaza Diane Art Gallery in Powell from March 15 to April 28, 2015.  There will be an Artist’s Reception on Friday, March 20th.

Program: Jeanne showed us how to make a faux flange and binding in one step.  Use 1 3/4 inch strips for the flange, and 1 1/4 inch strips for the binding.  Sew the two pieces together to make a 2 ½ inch strip.  Sew this on the back of your art quilt, and turn to the front.
