March 5, 2018

Alice's monthly quilts
Fifteen members and guests were present for the March meeting.  Each person introduced themselves and showed what they were working on this month.  My camera was acting up, so I have only a few pics to share.

Our art quilts will continue to be on display at the bank in Cody until next month when they will be returned at the April meeting.

Karling gave a wonderful program on creating with paint sticks (Paintstik Oil Colors).

Judy's rubbing on plaid
Each person brought fabric squares, and we played a dice game to share some of the squares among those present. Then, using the Paintstiks and templates provided by Karling, we did rubbings on some of the fabric squares.  Jeanne K suggested we make an art quilt using our designs for hanging at the Yellowstone Quilt Fest in September.

Next we made a drawing with the paintsticks on muslin depicting a place we like to be.  The results show we are all out-door gals and many prefer the mountains and streams.

Another fun meeting and learning experience.
Thank you Karling.

Reminder: The April meeting will be presented by Lili, and the color of the month is blue-green.
